Creating your own powdered food (also known as DIY soylent) gives you more options compared to buying ready-mixed powdered foods . P>
This guide teaches you to mix your own powdered food into five simple steps - choose a recipe, get an overview of the recipe, buy ingredients, mix the powder and drink your first powdered meal. p>
1. Choose a recipe
As with what other food is all powdered based on a recipe. The recipes of powdered foods usually have unique names like Liquid Cake , NerdShake , or People Chow . The most used recipe in the USA is the recipe US Powdered and its variants. P>
A powdered recipe consists of a list of ingredients and the amount of each of these ingredients. To make powdered food, all you have to do is to mix the ingredients in the given amount - easily! P>
Each recipe has its own nutrition table, which tells you exactly what nutrition you want if you replace all your food with the given recipe. For the normal version of US Powder, you will get & gt; 100% of all recommended nutrition - view this image for the recipe nutrition table. p>
Select a US Powder Recipe from the list (there are four variants to choose from), and proceed to step two - Pattern Overview . p>
2. RECIPE OVERVIEW
In this example, the recipe US Powder Food (normal man) is used, which means the quantities and the ingredients are specific to this example. P>
In the image (click it to enlarge) you will see a table of ingredients and quantities, numbers have been added so you can read about each point below. p>
1st "Amount"
In this column you can see the amount of ingredient you need. The amount is given in grams (g) or milliliters (ml). P>
2nd "Ingredient"
In this column you can see what ingredients you need, each line is a new ingredient. P>
3rd "Source"
In this column you can see where the ingredient can be bought. Click each link and you will be referred directly to the store's page about the ingredient. P>
3. Buy Ingredients
First, choose how many days of powdered food you want to buy ingredients for (if you replace all your food). P>
Below the table for your recipe, you will find a drop-down menu where you can specify how many days / weeks of the recipe you want to see values for.
See picture for example (click it to enlarge). P>
Now you click each link for each ingredient and add the ingredient (in the correct amount!) to your shopping cart of the given webshop. p>
If more than one ingredient is from the same webshop, be sure all the ingredients are added the same order before making your order. p>
Also, remember to buy a shaker, I recommend this from Myprotein that has a mixing ball that removes lumps. p>
4. Mix Ingredients
First, be sure to have a normal kitchen weight, a precision weight to weigh micronutrients, and a mortar to crush pills. For precision weight, I recommend Beurer KS36 , which is slightly more expensive than the cheapest weights, but it's better quality, has 5 years warranty and comes with ( as opposed to the cheap weights) a calibration pad that is important to be sure of true measurement, as well as free shipping. p>
Now select the number of days you want to mix powdered into the drop-down menu, remember that there are days to spend exclusively on powdered foods. Then weigh all the dry ingredients in the given weight and mix together. P>
Make sure you do not completely fill your container, otherwise all ingredients can not be completely blended. Using the Myprotein 10L Screw Top Tub , you can mix up to 10-12 days powdered. For some ingredients, you may have to use a sieve, so they do not lump in your powdered food. P>
5. Drink your meal
In step 1. where you chose your recipe, you have specified how many grams of powder and oil to use to replace your entire day's food with the recipe. P>
These two numbers should be divided by how many meals you prefer per. day (here is meant both powdered and normal food), and then you use this amount of powder for each of your meals. p>
So if your recipe says 900 g powder and 27 g oil per. Today and you only want to replace 2/3 meals, you need 300 g of powder and 9 g of oil per day. 1 of your 2 powder meals per day. day. p>
Now mix oil, water, and powder. Congratulations, you have now made your first own powdered meal! P>
You'll also get a few tips on mixing, flavor, etc. p>
Mixing a meal is best done in the order: oil - water - powder. In this way, you measure both the correct amount of oil and then the water causes your powdered food to not stick to the bottom of your shaker. Add more water if necessary. P>
Put your powdered meal in the refrigerator one hour before drinking. This gives the powder coating a softer texture and, of course, makes your beverage colder. If you want a cold meal but do not have time to wait for the texture to change, shake your meal with a few ice cubes - they will be dissolved in no time. P>
